The marriage of Miss Lucy Gordon Dabney to Mr. William Randolph Robins Jr. took place on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Richmond, Virginia. The Reverend Robert Hetherington officiated. The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Todd Dabney Jr. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Phillip Gordon Pettit Jr. and the late Mr. Pettit of Manakin-Sabot and the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Todd Dabney of Richmond. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Randolph Robins. He is the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. Alexander Spotswood Robins of Richmond and the late Mr. and Mrs. Howard Osler Woltz of Mount Airy, North Carolina. The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Dr. Emory Dabney Dolan of Richmond, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Miss Joan Berkeley Robins, sister of the groom, Mrs. Anne Carey Robins, sister-in- law of the groom, Miss Elizabeth Claiborne Mason, Mrs. Brittany Flippo Wall, Mrs. Claire Gano Brown, Mrs. Emily Goose Bryant, Miss Shannon Margaret O'Donnell all of Richmond and Miss Hannah Louise Weiss of Baltimore, Maryland and Miss Carolyn Elizabeth Utrecht of St. Augustine, Florida. The groom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Howard Spotswood Robins, brother of the groom, Mr. Peter Weaver Squire III, Mr. Warren Mercer Ferguson, Mr. Charles Alexander Kempe, Mr. Bryan Edward Tedeschi all of Richmond, Mr. Thomas Albert Ragsdale of Raleigh, North Carolina, Mr. William Gray Daughtridge of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Mr. Lupton Thomson Haigler of Charlotte, North Carolina and Mr. George Hollis Fletcher Bailey of Denver, Colorado. Todd Kemper Dolan, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer. Dr. James Kemper Dolan and Mr. Scott Nelson McQuiddy were readers. Greeters were Miss Elizabeth Cameron Borkey and Mr. Jonathan Edward Klaren. The Rehearsal Dinner, hosted by the groom's parents was held at the Country Club of Virginia, Westhampton. The wedding reception, hosted by the bride's parents, was held at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Pauley Center. The bride is a graduate of Collegiate School, The University of Virginia, and received a Master of Fine Arts degree in Interior Environments from Virginia Commonwealth University. She works as a project designer for ENV RVA, a commercial architectural design firm. The groom is a graduate of Woodberry Forest School, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received a Juris Doctorate degree from American University. He works as an attorney at the firm of Emroch and Kilduff. The couple honeymooned in Punta Cana and reside in Richmond with their dog, Sophie.
