NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (AP) — A 90-year-old woman was struck and killed by a garbage truck in Rhode Island on Monday, authorities said.

The accident happened outside a community center in Narragansett late Monday morning.

Police have not yet identified the victim other than to say she is a South Kingstown resident.

They also haven't elaborated on how the accident happened, but they say no charges have been filed at this time.

The community center was closed for the rest of Monday after the accident and is expected to remain closed Tuesday.
